Afolabi Anani

Founder & President

Afolabi Anani is an Electrical Engineer by training, a policy strategist by inclination, and a bridge-builder by lived experience. With a career grounded in analytical rigor and a gift for translating complexity into clarity, he brings a uniquely pragmatic and human-centered approach to the challenges at the intersection of U.S.–Nigeria relations.

As the Founder and President of the Twin Eagle Alliance – Two Nations, One Vision, Afolabi leads a mission to strengthen democratic partnership between the United States and Nigeria through truth, trust, and collaborative engagement. Under his leadership, the Alliance champions initiatives that advance dialogue, balance narratives, and build durable frameworks for shared prosperity and stability.

Having spent half his life in Nigeria and the other half in the United States, Afolabi possesses a rare dual-perspective understanding of both nations. This lived experience enables him to navigate cultural nuance with precision, bridging gaps in perception and ensuring that policy and diplomacy are anchored in context, not stereotype. His bicultural insight has made him a trusted interlocutor for policymakers, business leaders, diaspora networks, and civil-society institutions seeking a balanced, informed understanding of transatlantic cooperation.

An engineer at heart, Afolabi approaches leadership as both art and architecture; analytical yet deeply empathetic, principled yet solutions-driven. Whether addressing governance reform, public diplomacy, or economic development, he is known for offering grounded, actionable pathways forward. Solutions shaped not by ideology, but by evidence and sustainability.

Beyond advocacy, Afolabi is a committed entrepreneur dedicated to building high-impact ventures that expand opportunity, unlock innovation, and strengthen economic resilience in Nigeria. His ventures reflect a conviction that prosperity and policy must work hand-in-hand to achieve lasting transformation.

A passionate philanthropist, he supports initiatives that amplify underrepresented voices and promote education, inclusion, and social mobility. Motivated by empathy and a deep sense of responsibility, his work reflects a belief that empowerment begins with access to opportunity, understanding, and dignity.

At his core, Afolabi is a devoted husband and proud father to two young boys, aged 8 and 10. Spirited Nigerian-Americans who inspire his belief in a future where identity is expansive, opportunity is shared, and both nations flourish together. His family fuels his purpose: to help shape a world defined not by borders, but by bridges.

Today, Afolabi stands as a transatlantic connector, equally rooted in the American and Nigerian experience — advancing a vision of partnership defined by shared values, mutual respect, and a commitment to a more prosperous and equitable future.

Abubakar Adejumo

Secretary

Abubakar Adejumo is a finance leader, strategic advisor, and consensus-builder whose career has been shaped by analysis, diplomacy, and a deep belief in the power of balanced narratives. With over 15 years of experience across global organizations—including Shell and KPMG—he brings rigorous financial stewardship, structured problem-solving, and cross-cultural fluency to his role as Secretary of the Twin Eagle Alliance.

As Secretary of the Alliance, Abubakar supports the organization’s mission to strengthen U.S.–Nigeria relations through clarity, dialogue, and collaborative engagement. He plays a central role in coordinating strategic initiatives, shaping policy communication, and ensuring that the Alliance’s work reflects accuracy, integrity, and the lived realities of both nations. His ability to manage complex information, drive stakeholder alignment, and maintain transparent governance makes him an anchor of the Alliance’s operational and diplomatic effectiveness.

Born Muslim into a multi-faith family, Abubakar’s worldview is shaped by a lifelong experience of navigating and appreciating religious diversity. This background fuels his commitment to interfaith understanding, a core pillar of the Alliance’s advocacy for faith, freedom, and inclusive communities.

Professionally, Abubakar’s career in finance and strategic planning has centered on helping organizations make sound decisions rooted in evidence, context, and long-term thinking. He has led FP&A functions, supported multinational transformations, and collaborated with business and government partners on initiatives spanning budgeting, forecasting, and enterprise performance. His ability to distill complexity into clarity mirrors the Alliance’s core mission: to counter misperceptions, promote balanced perspectives, and build a partnership grounded in mutual respect.

Abubakar bridges cultures, drawing on his Nigerian heritage, his life in the United States, and his commitment to ensuring both nations see each other through a lens of truth rather than broad generalizations. His work reflects a steadfast belief that diplomacy begins with understanding, and that sustainable progress requires both nations to engage with nuance, not narratives.

Above all, Abubakar is happily married and finds inspiration in his two young sons, aged six and four, whose curiosity and bright-eyed optimism ground his hope for a future where collaboration triumphs over division. They inspire his dedication to building bridges across nations, cultures, and communities so that the next generation inherits a world defined by shared prosperity and opportunity, not conflict and misunderstanding.

Today, Abubakar serves as a steady voice within the Twin Eagle Alliance: analytical yet empathetic, principled yet pragmatic, committed to advancing a U.S.–Nigeria partnership that endures, evolves, and uplifts both nations.
